We’re thrilled to announce that the 2022 JPN Conference will be heading to Belfast on 3 and 4 November 2022. The two-day event will feature industry roundtables, keynote speakers, artist showcases and networking opportunities for anyone working in or around jazz.

Building on the outcomes of the regional consultations held throughout the UK, the 2022 JPN conference at The MAC in Belfast’s cultural hub – the Cathedral Quarter – will focus particularly on how we support and develop the next generation of jazz musicians, promoters, managers, agents and journalists, with inspirational speakers drawn from a range of projects and organisations across the UK and Ireland.

The event will also include information-sharing sessions on key topics and new approaches of interest to anyone involved in presenting and growing audiences for jazz, as well as the opportunity to network and discuss issues together.  Thursday night’s showcase programme at the Black Box, curated by our partners Moving on Music, will introduce some of the most exciting artists from Northern Ireland and the Republic.

“JPN Members may remember that our 2020 annual conference was originally set to take place in Belfast, but due to the pandemic had to be postponed,” JPN Chair Ros Rigby said. “With the help of our great partners at Moving on Music and The MAC, we will finally be heading to Belfast in November.”

Keep an eye on the website and via social media for regular updates on speakers – the full programme will be announced at the beginning of September.
