JPN are excited to announce that the 2023 JPN Conference will be held in Birmingham from 31st October – 2nd November. The three-day event will feature industry roundtables, artist showcases and networking opportunities for anyone working in or around jazz. We are pleased to confirm that Soweto Kinch will join us as keynote speaker for the conference.

This year’s conference will be held at B:Music’s Symphony Hall, Birmingham City University and Royal Birmingham Conservatoire.

The event will also include information-sharing sessions on key topics and new approaches of interest to anyone involved in presenting and growing audiences for jazz, as well as the opportunity to network and discuss issues together.  The conference will feature two nights of showcasing on 31st October and 1st November, introducing a host of artists from across the UK and Ireland.

“The 2023 JPN conference in Birmingham is set to take things up several gears – with one of the UK’s best known and respected jazz musicians as our Keynote speaker, an array of great performers from across the UK and Ireland in the Showcase programme, opportunities to discuss key issues and to find our more about why Birmingham has such a strong jazz scene, it will be an essential part of this autumn’s music conference season.” – Ros Rigby, JPN Chair.
