This year CJF is offering musicians FREE one-to-one advice on their career while they are in Cheltenham for the Festival.

This year we are offering musicians FREE one-to-one advice on their career while they are in Cheltenham for the Festival. Industry experts will be available to answer questions during a short, pre-booked session.

This year’s experts are:

Andrew Warnock, Musicians Union

“Come and talk to us about your career, the music industry, and how we can help you through our campaigns, benefits, and services. We advise MU members on everything from legal issues and contracts to fees and health and safety.” (You do not need to be a Musicians Union member to speak to Andrew.)

Tony Dudley-Evans, Programme Advisor to Cheltenham Jazz Festival & Jazzlines Birmingham

“I would be happy to listen to a 5 minute pitch for a future festival gig, and then speak to you about what works for me in engaging with bands, how to approach a promoter and the importance of the EPK.” (Please note that Tony has an advisory role. He may choose to share the contents of your pitch with the relevant programmers who book the bands, but pitching does not guarantee this.)

Sessions run from Saturday 5th to Monday 7th May and must be booked online in advance:
